LA – Homework Cover #35

Personal
Response to the Book: _______________________________________
We have been reading several
books this semester. Think of any book you have read in class and write a
personal response to this book (story). In class this week, we reinforced the
concept of what a personal response is, and it was very helpful to remind us how
to do it (Mr. Peabody's Apples). Now you must do the same activity about the
book you have in mind.
First – Check out the book again, if needed. If you do
not need to have the book with you because you remember the story, go ahead
and outline your personal response on a sheet of A4 paper. We are going to have
a class discussion about books, and each person needs an outline to support
the talk.
Second – If you need some help, revisit the personal
response example to Pippi Longstocking (we did in class) http://homeworklesson.blogspot.com.br/2016/09/personal-response-example.html
Third – For your outline, consider the following:
A
brief description of what the book is about;
Share
your feelings during and after reading it;
Share
your findings after reading;
Give
your thoughts and ideas about the book;
Suggest
the book to someone you know, and give three reasons or more why you suggest
that book to that specific person.
Last – Make sure you write everything in pen – do not print anything, please. Then – Have your outline with you for our circle
time on Mondays. Let’s talk about books!

Dear students, here you will find your homework assignment and other activities as extensions of classroom practicing on several topics you have learned so far. This site will be used to help you learn more about elementary school subjects. Let's say that it is pretty much like a Study Guide created to help you learn and review elementary contents. Have a great learning journey!
