LA – Homework Cover #33
|
First – Research and
make an outline about Halloween.
Second – Organize –
write a letter from the outline. You will send this letter to an imaginary
friend from a faraway place where Halloween is no popular and people do not even
know about this celebration.
Then, write a letter (in pen – do not print anything but pictures, if
you do not want to draw them yourself).
We all
need to share this letter in class. Read it aloud to any adult at home. Train
your reading before sharing the letter with others in our Monday classes.
Here
are some points to include into your letter (to
your imaginary friend) about Halloween:
Write a few
sentences about the origins of Halloween;
Tell about the
tradition of carving pumpkins. Draw or print out some pictures (attach them
to the letter).
Tell how people
celebrate Halloween. Give details on how people decorate their houses and yards,
how they choose costumes.
Tell how kids do
trick-or-treating, and how Halloween was in the past and how parties are
organized nowadays.
Imagine that you
have a friend who lives in a country where Halloween is not popular, your
friend has never heard of Halloween, and you have to write him/her a letter about
this holiday and its history.
