Homework #37 due November 27

Energy comes in two basic forms: potential and kinetic:

Potential Energy is any type of stored energy. It can be chemical, nuclear, gravitational, or mechanical.

Kinetic Energy is found in movement. For example: An airplane flying or a meteor plummeting each have kinetic energy. Even the tiniest things have kinetic energy, like atoms vibrating when they are hot or when they transmit sound waves. Electricity is the kinetic energy of flowing electrons between atoms.

Homework 37 - Follow some steps:

First, observe some types of energy in different places at home, school and in streets;

Second, identify which form of energy it is (5 or more).

Third, write a brief explanation to tell why you think the energy is potential or kinetic.

Last, draw pictures to illustrate your examples;

Use a chart to organize your work.
